Many of the engineering students think that there is no job vacancy for engineers. They start searching the job with few ideas , search the job in chennai , went for few interviews and convey the only message that there is no openings in chennai for freshers.
As a Engineering professional or Students trainer or Recruiter i personally always motivate the fresh engineers to follow some strategy in searching of job.When i sit for recruiting the freshers for my concern or my clients who are running small scale companies in chennai, i see freshers who are coming for interviews their mind set on IT Companies, Core jobs and Job search.
I always use to share the experience i face to the freshers meet to motivate them and make them to preparable for upcoming interviews. I feel like they have a mind block about job search. They use to speak , share in social groups about the interviews & Salaries and thinking that Job search is difficult.
Job is for Life... Job is not only for Living.... Materialistic life cannot give satisfaction in a long run way. Peoples look for salaries in the very initial stage of their career cannot survive long. Freshers with good self confidence and clear vision of career and skill development can able to adopt any kind of technical job which come across their way. They see it as opportunity.Opportunity coming to their way in any form.
Unique peoples accept the reality and starting up their career with the very first opportunity they get. or they keep on focusing with the skill development. according to more experienced professionals in engineering, Skill development is mandatory parallel with Job search.
Peoples are not focusing on both, they either do search job with the known portals or simple sit and study for govt exams etc. If you are really passionate on engineering and really wants to start your career in engineering Skill development in continous manner is important as well as Job search in consistent manner is very important.
I usually ask the freshers rate your self technically from 1 to 10 where 1 is the least and 10 is the highest, they average reply was 7 or more tan 8 etc.But when i ask what is universal gate simply in digital electronics they unable to answer. Its a Fact i faced as a recruiter.
Peoples miss the opportunity because of Lack of consistent knowledge updation on technical category. They forget the basic concepts and they are believing on learning in a continous manner. I just hereby wants to share this info because, I have lots of clients in chennai (small scale companies) still looking for BE Freshers on ECE,EEE,EI forvarious positions.
