AIM:
to design a android app
for detection of hand tremor using variable accelerometer
Abstract
Smart
application for hand tremor detection is realized here. One of
the most common concerns in the attention of patients with Parkinson's disease
is the difficult to objectively evaluate the illness progress or the treatment
efficacy, in terms of tremors intensity and frequency. Patient shakes are
produced by the gradual degradation of the pigmented neurons in the brain’s substantia
nigra. To tackle such problem, this work proposes a Smartphone application for
the quantitative detection, measurement and analysis of the Parkinson's tremor.
To achieve this goal, an Android platform was proposed, because it’s widespread
among Smartphone users, and the low cost of some Android compliant devices.
This work covered research aspect about the symptoms of the Parkinson's
disease, how to measure them, and the design, development and implementation of
an application to get quantitative measurement of Parkinson´s symptoms. The
idea of the Parkinson Tremor Detection software is to offer an alternative
application that could be downloaded by patients or medical staff from the
Internet directly into their phones to be used at any moment.
Existing system
In
the existing system, the work proposes
a Smartphone application for the quantitative detection, measurement and
analysis of the Parkinson's tremor. To achieve this goal, an Android platform
was proposed, because it’s widespread among Smartphone users, and the low cost
of some Android compliant devices.
Proposed
System
In the proposed system , (HH)Hand hold device is
designed so that the person should keep the sensing system by holding the
hands.Frequent Selftest can be made throughout the day by using android
app.Depends on the persons strength and stability level the tremor level
changes. That is varied through accelerometer.
